Attention to health and safety is not just about compliance with the law – it is also about being socially responsible and making good business sense, and with this session, we aim to help improve the workplace experience for all.”
du’s health and safety session is the fifth installment in a series of free-of-cost workshops for community organizations, with previous sessions focusing on Social Media, Strategic Communication and PR, Brand Protection, and Driving Organizational Performance in the community sector. The health and safety workshop is designed for people working in Human Resource Management or related fields within community organizations.
The session will take place from 10am to 1pm at the du headquarters in Dubai Media City on 27th February 2018. The interactive workshop will facilitate a better understanding amongst participants of the value of workplace health and safety beyond strictly compliance. It will illustrate benefits of workplace health and safety such as lower absenteeism and reduced losses through accidents, as well as an improved rapport with employees through the creation of a workplace that fosters productivity, efficiency, happiness, and wellbeing.
World NGO Day is celebrated worldwide, bringing together people from various sectors and organizations to celebrate the overall theme of Celebrate, Commemorate, and Collaborate. It was officially recognized and declared by the 12 member countries of the IX Baltic Sea NGO Forum of the Council of the Baltic Sea States in 2010 and was recognized by the UN, EU leaders, and international organizations in 2014.
