Mrs. Leena Zittling was involved in the early days of helping to establish and build relationships for World NGO Day in Finland. Her contributions include supporting the organization of the first introductory World NGO Day event in Finland, held at the British Ambassador’s residence in 2012, as well as assisting with advocacy efforts with the Permanent Delegation of Finland to UNESCO in Paris.
Mrs. Leena Zittling has over 35 years of extensive experience in senior management positions across both the private sector and international NGOs. She has served as a President, board member, and member of international advisory groups within innovation-, competitiveness-, and entrepreneurship-focused organizations. She has also been a keynote speaker on cluster management at events organized by the European Commission.
In addition, Leena has worked as an editor-in-chief of an international cluster magazine, a management trainer, and a conference director at numerous international congresses.
Currently, she is a Doctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Business Studies at the University of Eastern Finland, where she focuses on welfare management. Leena holds a Master’s degree in Health Sciences, with a major in Public Health Management and a minor in Health Economics.
