The University Isabel I (Universidad Isabel I) in Spain marked World NGO Day 2023, with a dedicated blog feature highlighting the historical and contemporary impact of non-governmental organizations. The feature emphasized NGOs’ critical role in addressing social, humanitarian, and environmental challenges, positioning them as essential actors in global development and civic engagement. (UI1)

 

The article highlighted examples such as the Red Cross, Amnesty International, and Greenpeace, illustrating how NGOs operate across diverse sectors—from emergency relief and human rights advocacy to environmental protection.
